Andrew studied at the University of Hull and graduated in 1985 with B.Mus (Hons) having focused on Singing, Composition, Musicology and Performance.
On graduating he sang and played with members of The Housemartins & The Beautiful South and made a number of TV appearances. He has built, managed and operated a recording studio and still works as a singer in both Pop & Jazz idioms.
His teaching career spans eighteen years and has involved teaching a range of music topics. He has also designed, delivered and managed a number of acclaimed music programmes in the North and North East.
Andrew has worked in a variety of educational contexts. He specializes in teaching singing but is also highly experienced in the teaching of composition & arrangement, performance skills, and the historical & contemporary context of music.
He has sat on a number government task groups concerning the delivery and assessment of music and is an external examiner for level 2 and 3 music provision.
In a recent OFSTED inspection praised Keith and Andrew's work for the excellent quality of their teaching and planning and the excellent standard of student work.
